Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for membership, an applicant must be an individual who:
- lives in Singapore and Singapore is his/her permanent home;
- practises and carries on or is employed in a business engaged in trade mark agency work in Singapore (excluding casual or intermittent engagement in such work); and
- holds a recognized degree in a relevant field of studies and has a minimum of 3 continuous years’ experience in trade mark agency work in Singapore.
An application for membership must be supported in writing by a current member. The supporting letter should follow the format specified by the Secretariat. The Executive Council shall have the discretion to accept or reject any application for membership, and may require the applicant to furnish further information and documents for verification.
An annual membership fee of SGD50 (fifty Singapore dollars) valid until 31 December of the current year will be invoiced and payable upon notification of approval of membership.
